The date of her birth is 29 March 1985 in Roswell in New Mexico. Gerina Michelle is her birth name. Gerina Stevenson's parents were Mexican Alan Stevenson & Rita Stevenson. She is American and is of Mexican American heritage. From a young age her drive to become active in sports was strong. Gerina began playing golf at the age of 15 years old. Gerina attended Goddard High School for her high school education. While in highschool, Gerina was the winner of the New Mexico golf state tournament. Also, she was a volleyball player and competed on the level of state. She attended in the University of Texas in 2003. She won all of the competitions she participated in during her senior years. Through her college years she was awarded an award called the Conference USA Player of The Year award and The UTEP Female Sport Athelete Award.
